The Opportunity

Our client is a high growth wholesale and distribution business that has recently secured private equity investment. Based in Liverpool, the business is growing 30% YoY with a clear strategy for future growth. They offer a supportive and collaborate environment, and reputation for being people-first and performance-focused.

This Financial Controller role will allow the right finance executive to take ownership of the finance function, reporting directly into the Managing Director. It will oversee a small team of 4 and ensure robust reporting to the ELT and Board.

This is a hands-on role, well-suited to someone with experience working in an SME environment. We will consider up and coming finance executives looking to transition into their first 'Head of' position.

The Challenge

• Key responsibilities will include:Leading month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely reporting
• Delivering budgets and forecasts, providing commentary and decision support to the business
• Preparing KPI reporting and providing commercial insights
• Overseeing compliance including GST/BAS and statutory reporting
• Managing working capital, including AR/AP performance and cash-flow forecasting
• Driving enhancements to financial processes, controls, and ERP systems
• Leading and developing a small finance team

The Expertise
