The Department of Physics and Materials Science (DPhyMS) at FSTM pursues excellence in fundamental and applied research, rigorous education, and impactful outreach. Its multidisciplinary expertise spans quantum technologies, biophysics, soft and living matter, photovoltaics, spectroscopy, and machine learning. The Project Officer (PO) will reinforce the team of Research Facilitators (RFs) within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM). Reporting to the Team Leader, the PO will play a key role in supporting the management and implementation of research projects in the Department of Physics and Materials Science, with a particular focus on European Research Council (ERC) grants and other strategic departmental initiatives.
Working closely with principal investigators, the RF team, administrative staff, and the faculty’s financial controllers, the project officer will be responsible for the post-award phase of research projects, ensuring smooth execution and compliance with funding requirements.
