THE CIVIL NUCLEAR CONSTABULARY (CNC) IS AN ARMED POLICE SERVICE THAT’S DEDICATED TO THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRY. OUR VISION IS TO BE RECOGNISED AS A PROVIDER OF A WORLD-CLASS SERVICE FOR THE PROTECTION OF NUCLEAR MATERIAL AND FACILITIES. GIVEN THE CRITICAL NATURE OF OUR WORK, IT’S VITAL THAT WE RECRUIT SKILLED AND COMMITTED PROFESSIONALS TO OUR HIGH-PERFORMING TEAM. WE’RE NOW LOOKING FOR AN EFFICIENT DUTY PLANNER TO ORGANISE OUR SCHEDULES.
It takes more than highly skilled staff and officers to provide an outstanding service. We also need to ensure that our team is deployed effectively. As a Duty Planner; this vital task will be down to you. It’s a highly rewarding role that calls for a varied skillset. Every day, you’ll co-ordinate the working hours of staff and officers. You’ll use the complex Duty Management System and observe relevant legislation and industry rules. You’ll then publish schedules that show shift plans in advance. The key is to make sure we have the right number of people on duty with the right skills, at the right time.
You’ll be working independently in a busy environment. That means you’ll need excellent organisational skills to prioritise your workload. You’ll also need a keen eye for detail and excellent IT abilities. A gift for clear communication is another important skill. You should be good with people and great within a team.
