CDI Engineering Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.
Position Summary:
12 Month Plus Contract Position: Electrical & Engineering consultant to lead Chemical Plant Project Engineering Coordination with emphasis on Electrical Engineering (onsite); Technical Documentation management related to the SPiDER database work will be performed on-site (Sacramento CA). A representative is required onsite to facilitate the work. The on-site contact is required to have experience working at a chemical-related plant. On-site contact to have experience in electrical engineering and project/program management.
Responsibilities:
Support front end engineering for AE & appropriations projects (feasibility & conceptual studies).
Participate in project reviews, as needed.
Coordinate project design engineering, including mechanical, process, civil/structural, and electrical power & controls, to meet company standards and National Standards (clients Global Electrical Specification, Power and Controls Practices, Process Safety Practices & Global HS&E CBAs, National Electrical Code, NFPA standards).
Meet and coordinate with appropriate client resources for projects and/or PC&IS related (e.g. project managers, technical engineers, onsite PC&IS resources).
Electrical Work: As needed, KEA consulting and assistance, power studies, etc.
Tech Doc work: Coordinate document updates including P&IDs, isometric drawings, equipment files, single line, drawings, PFDs, electrical drawings, etc.
Download, edit, upload files to & from clients technical files system; SPiDER, cloud-based storage, local mirror PDF repository accessible to end users.
Qualifications:
Project/Program Management.
Electrical Engineering/Design in chemical processes.
Process Safety Practices & Global HS&E CBAs, National Electrical Code, NFPA standards).
Experience in CAD.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
