Help clients with psychosocial rehabilitation, focusing on recovery, community integration, and improving quality of life. Reporting to the Program Manager, the selected candidate will encourage clients in problem-solving, conflict resolution, goal setting, and medication management. They will provide direct, "hands-on" life skills training, such as assisting with grocery shopping and accessing public transportation, and advocate on behalf of clients to ensure their needs are met.  The candidate will assist in completing individualized service plans, collaborate with clients to identify areas of need, and develop specific, attainable goals. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role or a background in social services, along with knowledge of homelessness issues and an understanding of trauma-informed care. They must be able to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude are essential. The candidate should also have knowledge of community resources and support services, the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team, excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, and basic computer skills for data entry and communication purposes. This is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs Program.
