Start Date: July 2026 Pay Rate: $19 per hour Contract: Permanent What You Will Be Doing Working from 10.30pm to 7am Thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, food preparation spaces, equipment, and workstations according to established health and safety standards. Operate commercial dishwashing and cleaning equipment safely and efficiently. Deep clean kitchen floors, walls, shelving, drains, and storage areas. Clean and maintain ovens, grills, hoods, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, and other kitchen equipment as scheduled. Empty waste and recycling receptacles and ensure proper waste management procedures are followed. Replenish cleaning supplies and report inventory shortages to leadership. Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with WHMIS regulations and company procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment at all times. Identify maintenance concerns and promptly report equipment issues or repairs required. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and occupational health and safety standards. Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to support seamless hotel operations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications What You Bring Previous experience in a kitchen cleaning, stewarding, janitorial, or hospitality environment is considered an asset. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset. WHMIS certification is considered an asset.. Physical Requirements: Standing and walking for extended periods. Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Working in hot, humid, and occasionally cold environments.
