Our tearoom is a key part of the visitor experience, serving freshly prepared food in a relaxed and friendly setting.
We’re expanding our catering team and looking for a Kitchen Assistant to help us deliver great food and warm hospitality. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for a new opportunity, we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be part of a supportive team helping to prepare and serve simple, wholesome meals, snacks, and home baking. You’ll assist with keeping the kitchen clean and organised and help make sure everything runs smoothly during busy times.
No formal experience is required, as full training will be provided, and you’ll be supported every step of the way. What matters most is a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and being a friendly team player.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with preparing light meals, children’s dishes, and baked goods
  • Help with food presentation and portioning
  • Support daily kitchen routines including opening, service, and clean-down
  • Follow food hygiene and safety procedures (training provided)
  • Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy, and well-stocked
  • Occasionally help with special events or group catering
  • Contribute to a warm, welcoming team environment
