Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL, and will be on a 7/on 7/off rotation.    Job Responsibilities:  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes. • Supervise the Electrical Maintenance team. • Work with the planning & engineering team to assist in producing high-quality work execution schedules. • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.  • Provide technical assistance to field personnel in the areas of high voltage distribution equipment and high voltage motors/generators with voltages ranging from 600V-46KV.  • Respond and provide technical assistance to electrical equipment problems within the company-owned facilities  • Issue repair reports at the conclusion of critical jobs for proper historical documentation  • Identify engineered resolutions to recurring electrical issues. • Improve plant/equipment reliability through historical trending and improved maintenance procedures. • Lead and participate in Failure Analysis and Vulnerability studies. • Execute equipment maintenance strategies (predictive and preventive). • Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.   Skills and Qualifications:    • Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry including Concentrator/Mine maintenance, power distribution systems, safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization.  • Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician  • Previous supervisory experience.  • Previous experience using a CMMS.  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees.  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.  • Excellent work ethic, and attendance record.  • Able to work 12-hour shifts, 7 on, 7 off (days and nights)    Education:  • Red Seal Journeyperson Industrial Electrician;  • Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma;  • Other combinations of skills and experience related to the electrical field will be considered.    License:  • Driver's License (Required)    We are an equal opportunity employer!
