PART TIME ACADEMIC INSTRUCTOR (HNU 145) DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN NUTRITION, FACULTY OF SCIENCE POSITION DESCRIPTION The Department of Human Nutrition invites applications for a part-time Academic Instructor to teach HNU 145 (Introduction to Foods) (3 credits) during the winter term of the 2026-2027 academic year.  This position is subject to final budgetary approval. This course will be delivered in person. Also, topics covered in this course will include the physical and chemical properties of major food groups, the effects of various processing methods on these properties, and considerations of food quality and safety and their relevance to human health. We seek applicants with an advanced degree in Food Science or Human Nutrition. Applicants should also demonstrate a record of effective teaching and possess strong communication skills. The successful applicant will also have experience working in an interdisciplinary team and show a commitment to supporting and advancing the university’s goals related to equity, diversity, and inclusion. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The Department offers a four-year program leading to a BSc in Human Nutrition and BSc in Human Nutrition       Honours degrees and has an Integrated Dietetic Internship Program.
