POSITION OVERVIEW

The IT Senior Network Engineer will be a key contributor to the Global IT organization, responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of enterprise network infrastructure and services. This role supports both operational and project-based work, with responsibilities driven by business needs. As an IT Senior Network Engineer, you will collaborate across global teams to support global network infrastructure in modernizing legacy network infrastructure, enhance automation, and ensure lifecycle and patching hygiene all while aligning with ITIL-based processes and standards.
The ideal candidate is proactive and passionate about leveraging technology to improve system availability, operational reliability, and security. They will play a critical role in maintaining a stable and resilient global infrastructure that supports ZOLL business operations and mission to improve patient outcomes worldwide.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in CIS, MIS, IT, or a related field or equivalent experience required
• 10+ years prior industry experience (Enterprise preferred)
• Proven record of developing and maintaining complex documentation for network topology
• Proven ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Proven experience in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure in datacenters and office locations
• Possessing a current certification relevant to the support technology field is preferred (e.g., Cisco and/or Palo Alto)
• Experience in multi-site datacenter operations, including onsite hands-on support for network equipment and cabling

• Implement and maintain network infrastructure configurations according to established best practices and enterprise standards, proactively identifying and resolving potential configuration issues to ensure optimal system stability and performance.
• Monitor and analyze network infrastructure performance and configuration data to identify potential issues and proactively address them.
• Conduct routine system maintenance and resolve operational incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Utilize established ITIL-based processes and corporate ticketing systems to ensure consistent and efficient resolution of IT issues and requests.
• Work to resolve complex incidents and escalated tickets, leveraging expertise and collaborating with colleagues to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Represent the IT Infrastructure team and technologies to business stakeholders and in large global projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and diagrams to support operational procedures.
• Provide advanced technical support and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external vendors, to design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure solutions.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Promote and implement automation to enhance efficiency, create self-service capabilities, and improve the reliability of IT systems.
• Stay current with developments in network technology and recommend ways to take advantage of new innovations and advancements.
• Respond to network failures and provide after-hours support, including participating in an on-call rotation, as required.
• Work with colleagues in team-based focus groups to address specific initiatives and contribute to shared goals.
• Contribute to high-performing teams through collaboration, communication, and knowledge sharing with colleagues across the organization
