About the RoleThe Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for improving sales team performance and leading marketing activity that builds brand awareness and generates qualified leads. The role measures individual and team performance against agreed KPIs, coaches Key Account Managers and Internal Sales, and embeds a consistent sales methodology across every customer interaction, from first lead through to handover.

Reporting to the General Manager with a dotted line to executive stakeholders, the role forms part of the Leadership Team, representing sales and marketing in business strategy, planning and decision-making. By connecting sales training, product knowledge and customer experience, the role helps the team win more business across key customer and industry segments.

• Key ResponsibilitiesSales Process: Implement and monitor a consistent sales process, ensuring strong adoption and adherence across the team.
• Coaching & Training: Identify capability gaps and deliver ongoing coaching, role-plays, training and development resources to improve sales performance.
• Performance Management: Track KPIs, HPOAs, efficiency and customer experience metrics, holding team members accountable for results.
• Sales Growth: Work with senior leaders to develop product promotion strategies that support revenue growth.
• Customer Experience: Conduct joint customer visits and monitor the sales journey to continuously improve customer outcomes.
• Sales Support: Manage sales support and administration to maximise the team’s time on high-value activities.
• Training Resources: Develop and maintain practical sales guides, videos and reference materials.
• Talent: Support the attraction, selection and onboarding of high-calibre sales professionals.
• Implement and maintain a consistent sales process and track team performance against KPIs and HPOAs.
• Conduct regular sales coaching, customer visits, role-plays and targeted training to improve skills and product knowledge.
• Identify performance gaps and deliver training and development programs to address them.
• Develop product promotion strategies with senior leadership to support sales growth.
• Manage sales support, administration and training resources to maximise sales team efficiency.
• Monitor sales and customer experience metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Support the recruitment, selection and onboarding of high-performing sales personnel.

• Qualifications & ExperienceProven sales experience, ideally in fire protection, hydraulics, plumbing or construction supply, with sales coaching experience.
• Relevant sales, business or training qualifications, or equivalent experience.
• Strong training, coaching and people development skills, with a focus on improving performance.
• Confident with CRM, sales reporting, data analysis and turning insights into action.
• Strong planning, project management, problem-solving, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Technical product knowledge or willingness to learn pump systems, packaged pump stations, submersible pumps and water storage solutions.
• Self-motivated, organised and able to work independently.
• Confident, approachable and collaborative with staff, customers and suppliers.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between offices and customer sites.
