Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of sales associates and ensure they meet their targets
- Oversee the daily operations of the market, including opening and closing procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues
- Assist in managing inventory and ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, targets, and performance expectations
- Monitor sales performance and provide coaching and feedback to improve results
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
Experience:
- Previous experience in team management or assistant manager role
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing exceptional service
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Experience with budgeting and financial management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Multilingual skills are a plus
Skills:
- Team management: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales associates
- Shift management: Experience in managing schedules, breaks, and shift rotations
- Customer service: Strong interpersonal skills to provide excellent service to customers
- Assistant manager: Previous experience in an assistant manager role is preferred
- Phone etiquette: Professional phone manner with effective communication skills
- Budgeting: Understanding of budgeting principles and ability to manage expenses effectively
- Math: Strong numerical skills for handling transactions, calculating discounts, etc.
