We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Mechanical Plant Engineer join our team based mainly at our Myers Aggregates/Johnsons Wellfield site, Huddersfield on a permanent, full-time basis.
Myers Aggregates is the loose aggregates division based at Johnsons Wellfield, our historic Crosland Hill Yorkstone quarry, that also operates an established Dimension Stone and highly sophisticated stone production facility from its Crosland Hill Quarries in Huddersfield, which is part of the progressive family-owned Myers Group.
Renowned for the supply of premium block stone for finished masonry and natural stone paving products supplied across the UK. With an excellent local presence in the aggregates sector and an inert landfill, we are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our team at Crosland Hill Quarries.
Your main focus will be the organisation and completion of repairs and servicing of 40+ items of mobile heavy plant equipment including Excavators, Dumpers, Dozers, Forklifts, Front End Loaders, Crushing & Screening Plant and Much More.

• Proven experience working with heavy plant machinery such as diggers, dumpers, and excavators.
• Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or a similar field.

• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Servicing, maintenance, and repair of heavy mobile plant machinery, including diggers, dumpers, excavators, and other construction equipment.
• Carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs both on-site and at customer locations.
• Completing all relevant documentation and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Responding to breakdowns and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring a high level of workmanship.
• Assisting the Operations Manager with planning maintenance spend and forecasting.
