We are looking for an Engineer with a strong background in Systems Engineering to help shape the future of flight as a member of our programme Team. In this role, working at TRLs 1-6, you will be responsible for Systems Engineering from requirements elucidation, development, specification and test definition, including integration across multiple aircraft systems
The customer is developing, via a number of research and technology programmes, technology to support the development of hydrogen-powered passenger carrying aircraft. They are developing technologies to support development of an Electric Hybrid Propulsion System architecture and conducting associated subsystem test campaigns The concept propulsion system includes a number of novel architecture features including hybridisation and cryogenic cooling. The programme also seeks to establish a high quality simulation of key features of a typical in-service standard aircraft with associated requirement set, that shall be used to derive critical technology demonstration objectives.
This work is one of the hydrogen research programmes which the customer is leading, the programme is currently within a technology development phase of a number of technologies and subsystems.
The programme is focused on requirement capture for a notional aircraft and system combination focused on an entry into service standard of hardware.
