QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or similar GMP environment.
• Strong understanding of production workflows, operational efficiency, and safety protocols.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of mentoring and managing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with production data analysis and process .
• Technical/mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify areas for operational improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor will manage daily production operations, working closely with the Plant Manager to implement strategic business goals. This role is integral to maintaining our commitment to high-quality production standards, operational efficiency, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP standards.
• Collaborate with the Plant Manager to execute strategic production initiatives and meet business objectives.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Operations, Planning, and Warehousing teams to optimize operations.
• Lead, mentor, and support production team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Manage employee relations, fostering a positive work environment and addressing any concerns to ensure a motivated and productive team.
• Analyze production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and reduce waste.
• Prepare production reports accurately and on time, ensuring they reflect operational performance and key metrics.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and operational for production schedules.
• Support the implementation of new processes, product launches, and capacity expansion projects.
• Contribute to the development of operational plans and participate in regular performance reviews.
• Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Organize and conduct employee job training and team meetings to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant task performance.
• Develop and implement cross-training programs for lead hands and production staff to create backup options and increase versatility across different components of the production line.
