THE CONTROLLER WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE CFO OR CEO AND LEADERSHIP TEAM TO PROVIDE STRATEGIC FINANCIAL INSIGHTS AND MAINTAIN FISCAL INTEGRITY ACROSS THE ORGANIZATION. Supervisory Responsibilities: * Lead the accounting team in daily operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. * Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP. * Conduct performance evaluations and provide training for staff to ensure continued professional growth. * Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes. * Oversee internal and external audits. * Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets. Duties/ Responsibilities: * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. * Coordinate and manage budgeting and forecasting processes. * Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions. * Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts. * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations. * Supervise cash flow and manage banking relationships. * Support the preparation of tax filings and liaise with external tax advisors. * Assist in the development of financial strategies and long-term planning. * Monitor project cost accounting and job profitability analysis. * Serve as a resource for other departments regarding financial policies and procedures. * Other duties as assigned.
