SUMMARY
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply.

DUTIES
The incumbent is assigned as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor in the Mental Health Clinic (MHC) under the Ambulatory Care section of the Mental Health Service (MHS).
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED, TO:
GS-9: This position requires initiative and the ability to prioritize tasks under clinical supervision. The incumbent works with Veterans diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use disorders, delivering entry-level evidence-based therapeutic services including individual, family, and group counseling, case management, and care coordination.

GS-11: This position requires initiative on behalf of the incumbent and the ability to prioritize tasks without immediate supervision. The position requires extensive work with veterans diagnosed with mental illnesses and substance use disorders. The Veterans will receive a variety of evidence-based therapeutic services such as individual, family, and group psychotherapies, case management and service coordination. The incumbent provides these services at an independent practice level to eligible Veterans to meet biological, psychological, social and environmental needs.
