FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEER - MECHANICAL

Safety World is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fire Protection Engineer to join our team. We’re looking for a professional with 2-3 years of proven experience in fire alarm and firefighting systems. If you have a solid understanding of safety standards and are skilled in on-site project management, we encourage you to apply.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and testing & commissioning of fire alarm and firefighting systems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of relevant standards such as NFPA, BS, and UAE Civil Defence codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office is required.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Other: A valid driving license and Civil Defence Card is preferred. You must have a strong command of English (both written and spoken).
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm and firefighting systems.
  • Ensure all project work adheres to local authority regulations and approved specifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and provide troubleshooting support.
  • Efficiently manage on-site labor and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit regular site progress reports to the project manager.
  • Enforce and ensure adherence to all safety protocols on-site.
  • Attend project meetings and site inspections as required.
