Overview: Electrical Design Engineer using AutoCAD and Revit for commercial and residential building projects under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking to expand our team by hiring an Electrical Design Engineer for commercial and residential buildings design, including Office spaces, Restaurants, Multi-family, Retail, Hospitality, Educational, Ecclesiastical, and more. This individual will work under a PE and be trained on the job.

Position tasks and responsibilities:

• Design of Electrical systems
• Use of Revit BIM for design and drafting
• Some minor use of AutoCAD
• Energy Optimization
• Preparing of schedules and construction details
• Aiding in the completion of complete plan sets
• Because we believe in training our engineers to have a multi-disciplinary mindset this position will also offer opportunities to touch both Mechanical and Plumbing designs

Organization, attention to details, as well as critical thinking and speed are important. Other tasks within the practice may be asked of the individual. Office and site visits will be necessary occasionally as we do allow out team to work from the comfort of their professional home office.
We are looking for an individual who is honest, proactive and a good listener. Personal time management is a HIGHLY valued skill as individuals must be able to complete work by the given deadlines.

REMOTE/HYBRID DESCRIPTION:

Daily scheduled meetings will be held remotely via platforms such as Microsoft Teams where plans will be discussed, and screen sharing will be expected. An individual will be available via email, text, phone call or Teams during working hours of 8am to 6pm.
Some in-person days will be required at the firm office. These days will be for trainings , meetings, prep for on site reviews, walk-throughs and more.

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field required
• AutoCAD proficient
• Revit experience is a plus
• Drafting and design experience preferred
• EIT is a plus
• Remote work experience is a plus
• Georgia State Residency (working outside of the state or greater than 1hour drive from the firm’s office is not allowed. We will NOT consider candidates who wish to live outside of the state.)
• Driver’s license required
• US work authorization required
