Position Summary As an Assistant Property Manager, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations and management of a designated community (or communities). You will ensure exceptional service delivery, resident satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency. What You’ll Be Doing Provide exceptional service to residents, prospective residents, and internal team members. Lease apartments while providing office management and administrative support. Collect rent and ancillary fees from residents, including the management of delinquent accounts. Process rental payments and record primary financial data for property accounting purposes. Post income and deposits accurately and in a timely manner. Inspect apartment homes after move-outs to ensure compliance with property standards. Prepare and deliver notices to residents as needed. Address and resolve resident requests and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Partner with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders. Support sales and marketing efforts to lease available units. Assume the duties of the Property Manager in their absence. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws. Adhere to all safety procedures and promptly report safety hazards to the supervisor. Education and Qualifications 2+ years' experience in leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service is required; property management experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of apartment management laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local level is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally over the phone, in written communication, and face to face. Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in computer and technology skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems and tools. Must possess a high level of integrity and compassion with an emphasis on teamwork, inclusion, growth, and customer service.
