Nexus Onarga provides boys ages 10 to 20 years old a structured, homelike environment where they can safely address their unhealthy sexual behaviors and their emotional and behavioral issues. The Therapist oversees youth treatment through assessment, planning, and discharge coordination. They provide trauma-informed clinical support, enhance programming, lead family therapy, and collaborate with community partners to support progress and transition planning. Primary responsibilities: Collaboration with youth and family to lead and develop to the Nexus Individual and Family Guidance Plans. Complete Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths functional assessment. Through the collaborative effort with family, youth, and providers, develop and monitor the individual treatment plans. Provide individualized, youth-focused, strength and evidenced-based family and individual therapy to youth and families. Develop and facilitate milieu and treatment groups that are trauma informed, educational, and treatment focused. Serve as a clinical treatment team leader by modeling and coaching staff on rapport building with clients, trauma-informed practices, and de-escalation techniques on the treatment milieu. Assess readiness for discharge in conjunction with the treatment team. Coordinate and recommend therapeutic services for success after discharge. Coordinate/communicate aftercare needs of the client with family and all necessary social service and community providers to ensure a smooth transition. Ensure all required client reports, records, and all documentation are produced accurately and maintained in a consistent, timely, and professional manner. Participate in team meetings, clinical team meetings, therapy clinical supervision sessions, and in-service as required. Requirements Required Education and Licensure: Master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences, human services, social work, marriage & family therapy, psychology, counseling, or clinically related fields Must have or be willing to obtain an LSOTP license within 3 months of hire.
