Examples of Duties and Responsibilities Reviews building plans to assure compliance with the Plumbing Code Approves plumbing permits Performs inspections of new buildings constructed within county jurisdiction to ensure compliance with the Plumbing Code and other county ordinances. Assists building inspectors with routine inspections of building footings and foundations, drywall, smoke detectors and safety systems, etc. and performs final construction inspections in compliance with County codes and ordinances. Prepares and maintains daily reports/records of activities, maintains and updates computerized/non computerized files. Receives and refers requests and inquires, answers questions, supplies information concerning County Building and Zoning Codes and Ordinances. Performs inspections of new private sewage installations and assures compliance with ordinances. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
