SUMMARY
The Business Analyst within the Analytics Department will serve as a proactive consultant, delivering strategic insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing account process efficiencies, reducing operational costs, and shaping policy through a consultative approach. When appropriate, the Business Analyst will design and develop analytical tools and documentation for use across multiple areas of EMKAY’s business. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Account Management, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment and execution of these strategic initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a four-year college graduate
1-5 years’ experience in an Analytics-based role
Prior automotive, fleet leasing, office, and customer service experience preferred
Education Background Preferred: Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance
Strong MS Office experience required
Ability to manipulate and interpret complex data sets
Statistical software package knowledge preferred
Partner with Sales and Service teams to highlight EMKAY’s analytical and consultative capabilities to clients and prospects.
Conduct in-depth analysis of complex business problems using methodologies such as root cause analysis, hypothesis testing, survey design, and benchmarking to deliver actionable strategic recommendations.
Design and implement quantification tools and resources to identify cost-saving opportunities across internal and external stakeholders.
Partner with Sales and Service teams to highlight EMKAY’s analytical and consultative capabilities to clients and prospects.
Leverage existing tools to fulfill customized internal requests and provide analytical support across departments.
Develop and maintain Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) models for strategic selector discussions.
Regularly update EMKAY’s LCCA tool hosted on the company website to ensure data relevance and usability.
Assist in the collection, analysis, and presentation of data to support strategic deliverables and both macro- and micro-level projects.
Use EMKAY’s internal platforms—including Cube, Linux, and My Reports—for accurate and efficient data extraction.
Ensure the precision and reliability of all data used in customized reports and analytics.
Maintain high standards of data quality to support informed decision-making and client trust.
Lead requirement-gathering sessions, facilitate meetings, and provide follow-up documentation including summaries and next steps.
Play a key role in the onboarding of new clients by collaborating with the integration team.
Collect vehicle model codes and other necessary information to support accurate system configuration and data uploads.
Manage the weekly batching and invoicing process for telematics hardware.
Ensure all billing data is accurate, consistent, and processed in a timely manner.
Support EMKAY’s EV strategy by ensuring the proper entry of electric vehicles into the Motorq system.
Oversee Tesla vehicle management through Tesla’s online portal to ensure accurate payment processing.
Contribute to other EV-related initiatives as directed by the Analytics Manager.
