OPPORTUNITY TCCH is growing and actively recruiting Janitors to join our Care Team at our Kennewick Primary and Dental Care site. Under the direction of the Janitor Supervisor, our Janitors perform basic janitorial functions throughout our clinic and ensure cleanliness of facility exterior through minor groundskeeping tasks. By cleaning walls, lights, fixtures, and furniture in all assigned areas of the clinic, our Janitors maintain an aseptic environment and prevent healthcare associated infection using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. Furthermore, our Janitors clean, wax, extracts, and maintain flooring, carpeting, and stairwells, also assisting with heavy cleaning throughout the clinic system. This includes resolving biological spills and moving hazardous waste to proper waste collection sites within the facility. FUNCTIONS Coordinate with supervisor to clean unoccupied offices and exam rooms, check garbage cans, dispose of contents if appropriate, and provide emergency cleaning services in the event of spills Spot clean patient and client rooms, staff offices, and working areas Use appropriate chemicals and techniques when washing and cleaning restrooms Perform periodic cleaning of high ledges, ceiling, light fixtures, and vents Clean doors and parts of showers and commodes subject to mineral deposit Deep clean highly utilized areas (floor drains, behind toilets, etc.) Dry and damp mop or machine scrubs corridors and elevator landings, according to assigned schedule Sweep stairwells and spot wash corridor and landing walls Maintain all carpets and hard floors (MCT and VCT) Maintain facility grounds when instructed Set up for meetings and events, hang curtains, and check the condition of the equipment Attend all required safety training programs and describe responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards Follow the organization’s exposure control plans and bloodborne and airborne pathogens protocol Work on a team toward surpassing departmental goals and objectives across multiple departments and facilities Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment Continuously display a “can do” attitude within the department and across departmental lines to contribute to the overall customer service experience Carry out all other duties as assigned SCHEDULE / LOCATION Full time evening position Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10:30pm Pasco, Kennewick, Richland WAGE / STATUS $17.65-$19.88/hour; up to $22.83/hour This is a Union / Bargaining Unit position, non-exempt BENEFITS AND WELL-BEING A flexible schedule for creating a healthy work-life balance Competitive pay for highly qualified individuals (you!)
