We like to have fun and celebrate our success.   Position Overview   A Carpenter is responsible for helping those who have been affected by fire or flood damage by rebuilding and restoring areas of homes back to their original state. Our reconstruction team is looking for individuals who are skilled in or looking to apprentice or cross train in any of the following: drywall, painting, ceiling texture & installation or carpentry. We hire employees that are new to the trades and train them in to be valuable and versatile employees that can perform a wide array of tasks. As employees develop, we offer them further training so they are continuously developing in the below areas. Carpentry •    Install kitchens, bathrooms and exterior sub-floors and framing •    Rough/finished and trim carpentry •    Complete chair rail and wainscoting installation •    Apply veneer panels and moldings including crown molding •    Install vanities •    Build stairs •    Mortise door hinges •    Drill for locksets •    Install windows and exterior doors •    Frame columns and beams •    Frame with steel studs •    Frame wood walls and bulkheads •    Must be willing to cross train in drywall and paint   Health and Safety * Ensure that self and others adhere to Canstar’s health and safety practices and procedures * Ensure good housekeeping is kept to perform work safely and efficiently * Understand safety policies and protocols * Ensure that self and others on site are wearing all required PPE, when required     Who we are looking for:   A personable and well-organized individual who pays attention to detail and has excellent data entry skills.  Someone who has a professional manner and is able to interact with employers and vendors daily. Experienced in working in a fast- paced environment.
