PLANT OPERATOR – LOADING SHOVEL
Reporting to the Plant Operations Team Leader and forming part of a focused GH Plant Operations Team the successful candidate must have a knowledge of operating mobile plant, preferably Loading Shovels. The individual must be able work as part of a team to deliver and service an efficient building and walling stone production facility. The person will ideally have a proven work history in this field and understands / adopts all health, safety and environmental practises and requirements.
The role will suit a proactive and dependable machine operator with a strong work ethic that wants to work as part of a small team.
REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
· Plant Operation recognised qualification preferred. (BRITTOP, NPORS, MINEXP, etc.)
· A good understanding of plant and maintenance
· Committed, driven and efficient.
· Driving licence
· Ability to tolerate noisy, dirty, and uncomfortable working environments.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.50-£16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In perso
· Operating a small loading shovel (currently JCB 411) to load broke stone onto conveyors for processing.
· Making sure the products produced (specifically Broke Stone) is to the required quality to enable a high yield of our end products by the stone croppers.
· Maintaining a clean and tidy work area, particularly around the conveyors.
· Completing daily inspections and supplying copies to the manager or office.
· Making sure that operated mobile plant is parked and isolated when not in use, with keys stored in the defined safe location.
· Raising any HSE concerns to your line manager or management team.
· Any other tasks as requested by your line manager.
