Responsibilities: Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by checking blueprints, repair manuals and part catalogs when necessary Diagnose forklift and crane/hoist issues and fix them quickly and efficiently Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts Repair, replace and reassemble defective equipment parts using hand and power tools Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings Will be on call and required to come in if any equipment breaks down during other shifts Be able to perform all the welding/fabrication needs for the company Qualifications: Must have knowledge on preventative maintenance on forklift and heavy machinery 6 months experience in maintenance Knowledge in repairing air pumps and hydraulic presses Demonstrate skills in resolving issues quickly and efficiently Ability to operate a forklift Have basic computer skills Have excellent communication skills Must be able to multitask and work in a production environment Requirements: Lift, carry, push and or pull up to 50lbs Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently Sit, stand, walk and drive for 1 – 10 hours per day Work Environment: Must be able to work in a wide range of weather conditions in a manufacturing environment under immediate supervision, for long shift periods.
