A continued vacancy will prevent timely service delivery and increase the workload for other engineers in the region who are assisting with providing services due to no dedicated engineer for this position. • Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders such as Vocational Rehabilitation and Independent Living Counselors, individuals with disabilities, vendors, and contractors. • Conduct site visits to consumers' homes, schools, and/or worksites to assess factors barriers and determine engineering needs. • Document recommendations and specifications for safe and cost-effective engineering solutions that may include adaptive equipment and devices, assistive technology, residence modifications, vehicle modifications, and worksite modifications/accommodations. • Maintain current knowledge of rehabilitation engineering related best practices, products, services, and vendors. • Provide technical assistance for internal team and interagency projects when requested.
