MajorDuties
As a Health Communication Specialist, you will: Develop and implement communication and marketing programs, projects, and strategies for the general public and other audiences, including innovative demonstration project. Develop, test, and disseminate science- and audience-based products, tools, and messages to different audiences in a variety of formats. Research and evaluate activities related to health communication and marketing. Contribute to the efficient and effective management of program resources and administrative processes. Serve as a liaison between program and other communication and marketing staff and with external stakeholders on program-specific issues.

This is a Term Appointment Not-to-Exceed 4 years. The initial appointment will be for 1 year; and at management’s discretion, may be extended each year without further competition. Term appointments are non-status appointments to the competitive service that can be shortened or extended for a specified period of time exceeding one year and lasting no more than 4 years based on the needs of the agency without further competition. Subsequent employment for CDC positions must be through the appropriate competitive process or special employment program hiring authorities.
