Overview:
Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a Project Manager, or higher level, to join our growing Water Resources team in Ohio! Candidates may be located anywhere in Ohio.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare effective work plans and man-hour budgets for approval by department manager.
• Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.
• Prepare advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
• Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.
• Participates in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing support, including business development.
• Identify the project team, work packages and tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedule of deliverables, and manpower needed on projects.
• Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors’ approval.
• Review monthly man-hour and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the pre-determined goal.
• Solicit help and involvement from managers to troubleshoot any technical problems.
• Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices, and enhancing corporate objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering required.
• 8+ years of related water resources engineering experience required.
• Current OH licensure or the ability to become licensed is required.
• Prior experience with Ohio DNR and public/private dams is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Ohio state regulations is a plus.
• Ability to identify, pursue, and win work from existing and new clients.
• Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis or geotechnical analysis in stability evaluations and seepage analyses.
• Prior experience with preparing proposals, developing budgets, tracking budgets and the associated financial management skills necessary to run a team and monitor the performance of the business.
• Previous mentoring and coaching experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Physical Requirements:

• Some travel is required and is dependent on the candidate’s location (less than 50%); limited overnight.

Working Conditions/Environment:

• May require regular exposure to all outside weather conditions, moderate to loud noise conditions, and exposure to heights.
