Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will assist in the production of various baked goods and ensure the smooth operation of the bakery.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods such as breads and pastries
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Assemble sandwiches with fresh baked breads and croissants
- Decorate and finish baked goods with icing, glazes, and other toppings
- Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bakery or food production setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of baking techniques, measurements, and ingredients
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
