Store Manager

Starting wage is $20.00 an hour, 37.5 hours per week, with pro-rated holiday and sick time benefits. Successful applicants must be available Monday-Friday for daytime shifts.

Job Description Manager

• Order all craft items and manage inventory levels
• Ensure that all products adhere to fair trade principles
• Maintain webstore
• Upload products
• Write product descriptions
• Measure/weigh all webstore items and input data into webstore
• Take webstore photographs
• Pack all webstore orders
• Receive orders
• Mail orders
• Liaise with customers as needed
• Develop and maintain information sheets about artisan groups and/or wholesale suppliers
• Develop social media content
• Post a minimum of 4 times per week on Facebook and Instagram and other social media as needed
• Respond to all social media messages and comments in a timely manner
• Create emails to send to customers promoting sales, new products, artisans and fair trade principles
• Develop all marketing materials and coordinate all advertising
• Coordinate all offsite sales
• Liaise with community and faith groups to coordinate all offsite sales
• Develop packing lists for volunteers to assist with offsite packing and coordination
• Manage all offsite logistics
• Develop and maintain store signage
• Develop and maintain content that promotes fair trade
• Develop and maintain contact that promotes Ten Thousand Villages Brandon
• Volunteers
• Conduct interviews and hire all volunteers
• Manage all volunteers, conduct reviews and monitor tasks
• Supervise all volunteer training
• Build strong relationships with all volunteers
• Maintain all volunteer paper work (emergency contact, volunteer agreements, volunteer policies)
• Provide volunteers with tasks and monitor their completion
• Assist with scheduling as needed with the volunteer scheduler
• Communicate regularly with volunteers
• Attend all board meetings and report to the board of directors
• Liaise with any community groups
• Attend Managers meetings with other Ten Thousand Villages Stores and legacy stores as needed
• Liaise with other Fair Trade organizations such as Fair Trade Brandon Committee, Fair Trade Manitoba, CFTN, FT Canada, Fair Trade Federation, etc.
• Liaise with MCC
• Purchase store support supplies
• Manage all staff
• Conduct staff performance reviews
• Provide direction to staff on all tasks, ensure completion
• Complete all other tasks as assigned by the board of directors

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $15.92-$26.53 per hour
