Job Description: The Business Process Analyst - Doc Control & Asset Info reports to the Manager, Document Control & Asset Information. This position will be responsible for review of return data, identifying and addressing concerns with data, optimizing the use of AltaLink's technology solutions as they relate to asset and project return data, documents, and systems, as well as assisting in related issues monitoring, troubleshooting, and report building. This role will interact with Asset Information and Document Control internal and external stakeholders in Projects, Asset Management, Field Operations, and S&IS teams. Responsibilities: Research and become familiar with AltaLink’s technical and compliance data and document requirements for Substations, P&C, SCADA, Telecommunications, and Transmission Line assets, and support the document control and asset information daily process activities when needed. Identify opportunities for system-based improvements within the AltaLink asset information and document control processes. Develop recommendations, perform a key role in the implementation and training roll-out of developed enhancements or solutions. Develop business user processes and documentation regarding technical data and document management systems and train involved stakeholders. Develop power user level knowledge on the various software applications and tools used by the Document Control & Asset Information team. Provide asset and project data management support to AltaLink project initiatives and stakeholders ensuring compliance with applicable standards and practices. (E.g., Alberta Reliability Standards (ARS), Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Information Security Management (ISMS)). Generate, resolve, and track queries to address problematic or missing data identified during data review activities and apply proper modification or correction to the database(s). Creatively identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and quality of results. Serve the business by troubleshooting and problem-solving data or system issues, providing administration support, and implementing resolution. Support data integration in the areas of planning, coordination, and meeting customer expectations. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science, Information Science, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of related experience in application administration and business analysis/process. Proven ability/experience in the above noted responsibilities.
