Job Description Overview: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Information Technology Technician to provide comprehensive onsite technical support across a diverse campus environment. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of IT support experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional services across hardware, software, networking, and audiovisual (AV) technologies. This role requires a hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates effectively with team members, and ensures a seamless technology experience for end users. Key Responsibilities End-User Support: Provide frontline support for faculty, staff, and students across desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and classroom AV equipment. Respond to incidents, service requests, and escalations in a timely manner through the ITSM ticketing system. Assist with account management, password resets, software installations, and configuration tasks. Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across multiple platforms. Support Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, and enterprise applications. Provide AV support for conferencing tools, classroom technologies, and event setups. System & Equipment Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices, imaging tools, and peripheral equipment. Ensure timely patching, updates, and security compliance for all supported devices. Document troubleshooting steps, fixes, and knowledge base content to support continuous improvement. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with senior technicians, network administrators, and system engineers on escalated issues. Communicate technical solutions clearly and professionally to non-technical users. Contribute to team meetings, project initiatives, and campus-wide IT support efforts. Qualifications Required Competencies: 3+ years of IT support/help desk experience in a professional or campus environment. mobile device management (MDM), remote support tools, and cybersecurity best practices. On-site at FLETC, Artesia, NM. Proficiency in: Windows operating systems and the Microsoft 365 suite. Endpoint management tools and imaging solutions. AV technologies (e.g., Teams, Crestron, projectors, digital signage). Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi). Strong troubleshooting, customer service, and communication skills. Experience working with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Cherwell). Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant IT certifications.
