DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly skilled Battery Management System (BMS) Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the development, testing and optimization of battery management systems to meet the highest technical, safety, and regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of battery systems across various platforms and contribute to innovative energy storage solutions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in battery systems engineering, with a deep understanding of BMS architecture and integration.
• Extensive experience in the development, and validation of Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Strong background in energy storage solutions, including knowledge of battery technologies, performance metrics, and lifecycle management.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, driving innovation and achieving operational excellence.
• Solid understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements related to battery systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges in system integration and performance optimization.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive project success.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree

• Conduct thorough scouting and selection of BoM for integration into BMS systems, defining technical decision matrices to support the selection of components and technologies.
• Create and manage Request for Quotations (RQs) for cell-module-pack integration.
• Develop boundary diagrams (InterfacesBD/FunctionalBD) and prioritize cross-platform applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define, design, and verify BMS functions, interfaces and overall system architecture.
• Set up and support experiments for battery and BMS components to ensure they meet functional, performance, and safety requirements. Define and oversee commissioning procedures, as well as End-of-Life (EoL) processes for battery systems.
• Support the testing, calibration, and verification of battery specifications and BMS functionalities.
• Conduct system evaluations, including DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), safety assessments, and diagnostic processes.
• Investigate and resolve battery-related issues to ensure product performance and safety standards are met.
• Lead efforts in patent creation, technical research, and development of advanced energy storage technologies.
• Drive standardization initiatives for BMS and REESS design through applications and integration of best practices across projects.
