Codilis & Associates, P.C. represents creditors in Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and Real Estate related matters. We are current seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing and updating all functions pertaining to the payment of various vendors (job cost and office vendors). Responsible for preparing the daily deposit. This is a fast-paced position that requires the ability to work well independently and must be a self-starter.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing the daily deposit. Researching and contacting the issuer if necessary if unable to determine how payment should be applied
• Responsible for depositing the checks via Remote Deposit.
• Responsible for uploading the check images for cost deposits.
• Responsible for paying approved title invoices. Following up with vendors to make sure we receive a monthly invoice.
• Responsible for paying attorney invoices that relate to probate cases. Ensuring that there is a W9 on file for every attorney.
• Responsible for the editing various Accounts Payable Batches for accuracy.
• Responsible on a daily basis for distributing emails sent to the general accounting email address.
• Responsible for special project as assigned.

Qualifications:

• HS Diploma; degree preferred
• 0-2 years experience
• Computer skills and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented and able to quickly adapt to change and/or changing priorities
• Attention to details and procedures
• Sets and follows logical priorities
• Capable of handling multiple tasks
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong numerical aptitude

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
