Mercy Place Fernhill s a 120-bed facility located in Sandringham. Our home is close to the Sandringham shopping area and the many attractions of the Bayside area.

About the opportunity

• Develop and implement individual and group activity programs.
• Encourage resident participation based on interests and abilities.
• Assist with outings, events, and special celebrations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and feedback.
• Collaborate with care staff and families to tailor activities.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ behavior or mood.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Creativity in planning meaningful activities.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of dementia and other age-related conditions.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure
• A current Police Record Check
• First Aid & CPR certificate
• NDIS Clerance
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
