3 years + PAE - Business/Commercial Law department
The role is based primarily in our head office in Penrith, with some work that may require travelling to our other offices in Parramatta, Richmond or Glenbrook. You would be working as part of a team in a fast paced, energetic and collaborative environment.
The Department is responsible for undertaking high level transactional and advisory work for well-established and successful corporate clients and other various entities.
We are looking for an applicant who has a keen interest in this area of law and have experience in Business & Assets sale and purchase, commercial leasing and franchising, and aspires to a long-term career, with opportunities for progression, within our growing practice.
Skills and experience you need to have:
We expect that the successful applicant would have at least 3+ years PAE experience in the Business/Commercial Law (transactional and advisory) (preferably in private practice) in:
· Client management & be client facing;
· Giving Business/Commercial advice;
· Business & Assets sale and purchase – front and back end;
· Franchising
· Leasing;
· Loan and mortgage advice;
· Commercial conveyancing
· Drafting agreements and deeds
· Have a commercial and practical approach to work;
· be robust and resilient problem solver;
· have attention to detail, excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills;
· have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to network;
· have effective time management skills.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
· legal research and drafting skills;
· Giving advices;
· preparing documents in all aspects of business/commercial transaction areas, including sale and purchase of businesses & assets, financing & loan advice, franchising, leasing, some intellectual property; corporations law;
· client networking;
· providing articles or attending seminars
· meeting key performance indicators.
· Be willing to assist in ad hoc projects,
· Ability to work in a team environment and/or autonomously
