About the opportunity The Neonatal Nursery at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg is a tertiary referral centre and a centre of excellence for neonatal care in Victoria. We admit over 1400 patients per annum and are committed to high quality neonatal care within the Victorian Public Health care system. Opportunity to join our Neonatal team at Mercy Hospital for Women as a Neonatal Fellow (9 EFT). We are fully accredited for both basic and advanced training in paediatrics (both general paediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine) with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Fixed term full-time and part-time job share positions available for a term of 6 or 12 months. Responsible for the supervision of clinical care provided by Neonatal Registrars caring for newborn infants under the guidance of the Neonatal consultant. Direct patient care over both inpatient and outpatient settings. Administrative duties; teaching and research activity is expected. There is an active teaching program for fellows. Opportunity to develop further areas of interest such as CCPU Neonatal ultrasound including for those applicants not successful in POCUS position (see separate position application).
