Working at the intersection of strategy and delivery, you’ll define target-state architectures while contributing to the evolution of our enterprise architecture practice. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a possibility of extension. As our Solution Architect, your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Lead architecture discovery and design for key strategic initiatives, translating business needs into scalable solutions aligned with Pepperstone’s strategic direction. Drive architecture decisions across both solution and enterprise levels, ensuring alignment with established principles, patterns, and guardrails. Conduct architecture impact assessments to evaluate significance, risks, and downstream implications of proposed changes. Contribute to the development of current and target-state architectures, including roadmap planning to support ongoing transformation. Partner closely with engineering teams to guide technical discovery, shape solutions, and support delivery outcomes. Collaborate with business stakeholders and Product Managers to elicit requirements and support informed decision-making. Work alongside the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure consistency and alignment with broader architectural vision. Engage with Program Management to maintain alignment with strategic initiatives and evolving business priorities. About you 8+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years in architecture roles, ideally within banking or fintech environments. Proven ability to design broad, effective architectures in complex and ambiguous environments. Experience defining and applying capability-based architectures to ensure the right business problems are being solved. Demonstrated ability to drive and influence complex architecture decisions through to alignment. Experience or exposure to CFD and/or crypto domains is highly desirable. Strong expertise in cloud-native application and infrastructure design. Proficiency in architecture modelling and capability mapping, including C4 models. Solid understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and UML (including sequence and class diagrams). Experience designing integration architectures, including event-driven and API-based systems. Strong focus on security and compliance by design. Exposure to Generative AI and its application in modern architecture contexts.
