Le ou la technicien(ne) au bâtiment avicole joue un rôle clé dans la réalisation des essais en nutrition avicole. Cette personne est responsable de la gestion du bâtiment de recherche, de la supervision des opérations, de la collecte rigoureuse des données et de leur analyse. Le candidat ou la candidate idéal(e) possède un fort potentiel de développement, idéalement avec une formation technique ou universitaire (DEC ou B.Sc.), et souhaite évoluer vers une carrière en nutrition avicole.   Principales responsabilités Gestion du bâtiment de recherche * Planifier et organiser la mise en place des essais selon les protocoles (commandes de poussins, aliments, litière, protocoles d’échantillonnage, etc.); * Superviser et valider la préparation des installations avant les essais (litière, équipements d’alimentation, systèmes de chauffage, etc.) réalisée par les animaliers; * Assurer un suivi constant de l’environnement du bâtiment (ventilation, température, conditions générales); * Veiller au respect des normes réglementaires, incluant celles de Producteurs de Poulets du Québec; * Assurer la supervision et la mise en œuvre rigoureuse des procédures en vigueur pour les opérations du centre de recherche. Exécution des essais de recherche * Agir comme personne responsable des essais pour assurer leur bon déroulement; * Superviser et effectuer des manipulations précises (pesée des oiseaux, pesée des aliments) avec une grande rigueur; * Assurer le suivi de la santé des oiseaux et superviser les opérations quotidiennes du bâtiment; * Superviser l’alimentation et l’abreuvement selon les protocoles expérimentaux; * Coordonner la collecte et l’expédition des oiseaux en fin d’essai. Gestion et analyse des données * Assurer la collecte, la saisie et la validation rigoureuse des données expérimentales; * Réaliser des analyses de base et produire des graphiques préliminaires; * Préparer des ensembles de données propres pour les analyses statistiques avancées; * Maintenir et mettre à jour les bases de données internes. Équipements et entretien * Planifier et superviser le nettoyage et l’entretien du bâtiment entre les essais; * Assurer le bon fonctionnement des équipements de recherche; * Gérer les commandes et l’inventaire des fournitures nécessaires. Soutien aux activités porcines * Apporter un soutien ponctuel aux opérations de la ferme de recherche porcine, au besoin. PROFIL RECHERCHÉ * Diplôme universitaire ou collégial en agriculture, sciences animales ou domaine connexe; * Bilinguisme français et anglais requis (l’espagnol est un atout); * Capacité à rédiger des rapports et à travailler avec des données en anglais; * Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); * Posséder un véhicule fiable et un permis de conduire valide (remboursement du kilométrage).
