The Communications Specialist operates within a collaborative environment and is responsible for supporting a broad range of communications functions through the implementation of communication strategies and projects, online reputation management, stakeholder engagement, brand development, and content creation. The communication specialist will report directly to the Director, Marketing and Stakeholder Relations and collaborates with the Human Resources team.


What You'll Do


  • Develop, publish and manage internal and external communications across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Create and manage communication content, including articles, press releases, social media posts, photography, video/audio content, presentations, and reports.
  • Coordinate communication initiatives and events, including Friends and Family Day, guided tours, public relations activities and stakeholder engagement opportunities.
  • Support digital communications by maintaining web content, executing social media strategies, monitoring engagement trends and updating media and stakeholder databases.
  • Lead or contribute to key communication projects, including the annual Impact Report and the development of internal communication platforms.
  • Support internal communication as and when needed.

What You'll Bring


  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Typically requires one to two years of proven communications experience, supported by relevant references.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering effective communication initiatives across various platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating content for diverse audiences.
  • Experience supporting media relations, stakeholder engagement, social media, and corporate communications activities is preferred.
  • Experience within the aviation industry is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
