In this role, you’ll work alongside our experts and collaborate on exciting projects that transform our client’s data protection capabilities through the design and implementation of predominantly Microsoft data protection technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 Security capabilities. You’ll become part of our dynamic security practice, where you’ll have the opportunity to work with both Avanade and Accenture clients, ranging from medium to large global enterprises. We foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing, encouraging innovation and continuous learning to stay at the forefront of Microsoft Security technology. As you collaborate with the team, you’ll learn what to design and implement cutting-edge security technologies, developing your technical skills through hands-on experience, particularly focused on Microsoft data protection capabilities and leading market vendors. Combining these technical skills with soft skills to provide clients with guiding advise and articulate security concepts clearly to mature their security landscape. In time, you will become our next Data Protection expert.
Skills and experiences

To become successful in this role, you have

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within teams and take initiative on tasks.
• Knowledge of the concepts around Access Control, Data Loss Prevention, Encryption.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft productivity suite and the broader Microsoft Security ecosystem.
• Familiarity with data confidentiality and data integrity principles.
• Good communication skills.

We consider it a plus when you have

• Experience in consulting and client advisory roles.
• Good understanding of or experience with performing discovery, analysis, design, build, test, and deployment of data protection solutions throughout the project lifecycle, across endpoints, email, and the internet.
• Good understanding of or experience with Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk management, Communication Compliance, and Data Security Posture Management.
• Ability to engage in creative problem-solving and risk mitigation tasks.

About you

• 1-3 years of foundational experience in the Cybersecurity industry.
• Eagerness to become an expert within the data protection field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview and data protection concepts.
• Proficiency in consulting practices, including stakeholder engagement and documentation.
• You might possess one or more Microsoft certifications and are eager to validate your attained skills through certification.
• You might possess one or more Cybersecurity industry-recognized certifications.

What you’ll do
As a Data Protection (junior) consultant, you will be joining a team and work on some of the largest and leading-edge projects. This is a customer facing role and you will play a role in transforming our client’s Security, Compliance and Governance platforms through designing and implementing data protection technologies and aiding the business in changing their business processes across HR, Security and IT to adopt the many benefits of data protection and compliance solutions. You are comfortable meeting clients and join workshops across Information Technology, Security, Compliance, and Application Owners led by one our senior colleagues. You’re used to working in projects and will assist in the creation of project deliverables that result into tangible value for our clients. As we foster a culture of knowledge-sharing, you’ll participate in these sessions to gain more knowledge and feed of the experience of your peers.
