The role also oversees the development and administration of conditions on financial assistance under section 83E of the Act, ensuring conditions are appropriately drafted, implemented and complied with. This is a senior leadership opportunity to influence regulatory policy and sector practice at a system‑wide level. You will work closely with executive leaders, Ministers’ Offices and a diverse range of stakeholders to shape practical, evidence‑based solutions that strengthen governance, accountability and educational outcomes across NSW’s non‑government school sector. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for: Leading and managing a high‑performing team to deliver governance, education and compliance initiatives and projects aligned to legislative and regulatory requirements. Driving NESA’s contribution to the development and review of regulatory policy and frameworks to support Government objectives and reforms. Overseeing the development of guidance, resources and education initiatives to support non‑government schools’ understanding of not‑for‑profit compliance under section 83C of the Act. Managing the regulatory policy and implementation of conditions on financial assistance under section 83E of the Act, including monitoring and responding to compliance issues. Leading stakeholder consultations and targeted sector engagement to support capability development, communication and compliance outcomes.
