POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Factory Technician. To provide technical support and maintenance services in the production department of the factory, ensuring efficient operation of machinery and equipment to meet production targets and quality standards.

CORE CAPABILITIES:

• Technical Proficiency:
• A strong understanding of electrical systems and components, including knowledge of socket and plug designs, wiring configurations, and assembly techniques. Factory technicians should be proficient in operating machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process, such as injection molding machines, assembly lines, and testing equipment.
• Problem-Solving Skills:
• The ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues or challenges that arise during the production process. Factory technicians should have strong problem-solving skills to diagnose problems, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
• Attention to Detail:
• Precision and accuracy are essential in manufacturing electrical components. Factory technicians should have a keen attention to detail to ensure that products are assembled correctly, components are installed accurately, and quality standards are met consistently.
• Mechanical Aptitude:
• A good understanding of mechanical systems and machinery used in the manufacturing process. Factory technicians should be mechanically inclined and capable of performing routine maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs, to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Adaptability:
• The ability to adapt to changing production requirements, schedules, and priorities. Factory technicians should be flexible and able to adjust to new tasks, processes, or technologies as needed to support production goals and meet customer demands.
• Teamwork and Communication:
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments. Factory technicians should be able to collaborate with others to coordinate tasks, share information, and resolve issues to achieve common goals.
• Safety Compliance:
• A commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures. Factory technicians should prioritize safety at all times, follow established safety guidelines, use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately, and report any safety hazards or incidents promptly to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: N3 Certificate in Mechanical or related trade (trade papers are an advantage)
• Experience: 2+ years in a manufacturing or mechanical environment, preferably with moulding and crimping machinery
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficient use of hand tools and measuring instruments (callipers, micrometres, dial indicators, etc.)
• Basic fault finding and critical thinking skills.
• Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
• Electrical systems
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Factory floor-based role
• Exposure to machinery, noise, and production equipment
