Maintain a safe working environment for all staff, reporting any safety concerns to the Supervisors / Managers.
Report hourly on production targets, with any down time experienced on the production line reported immediately to ensure action is taken swiftly to meet production targets.
Highlight any operational issues to management in a timely manner.
Work with engineering to ensure downtime on machines is kept to a minimum.
Ensure all returns being sent back to the warehouse are accurate.
Ensure line leaders and machine operators, at the end of the shift, have their line organised and ready to go for the next day. Lines must start on time.
Assist machine operators and line leaders where required.
Carry out training where required to ensure staff are multi skilled and have the correct knowledge to carry out required tasks.
To monitor product quality and bring any issues to the attention of the Production and Technical Manager.
Maintaining and completing all required documentation as per BRC accreditation standards and retailers COP in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensuring full adherence to GMP/SOP so that areas of control and responsibility are always ‘audit ready’ by adhering to company hygiene and HACCP standards, ensuring allergen protocols are always maintained.
Operating and maintaining in good order any equipment used in the production within the limit of trained capabilities, reporting any operational defects and remedial repairs immediately.
Oversee production staff to ensure dress code, cleanliness, health and safety, and outputs are met to the highest standard.
Ensure all machinery is kept cleaned at the correct frequency and to the agreed standard on the cleaning instructions.
Arrange, in conjunction with the production manager, any deep cleaning of the area when required.
