In Ericsson Research in Linköping we work at Research Area Networks and Research Area Radio. At Research Area Networks, we have the mission to develop and drive outstanding procedures, protocols and architecture solutions for current and future wireless systems. Ericsson Research Area Radio provides advanced system and signal processing solutions, including multi-antenna concepts, targeting standardization of radio access systems.

  • Experience in using and developing simulation and emulation tools using modern programming languages such as JAVA, MATLAB, Python, C++, and the like.
  • A good understanding or background in 3GPP RAN is a significant plus.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong personal drive and a strong focus on the tasks at hand.
  • A researcher mindset with the ability to deliver in open-ended and explorative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for defining and evaluating concepts and solutions for future radio access technologies, networks and standards, such as 3GPP 6G, as part of our 3GPP 6G concepts team.Be responsible for creating and driving Intellectual Property Rights and 3GPP standardization proposals.
  • Use and develop simulation tools for evaluating new concepts and solutions.
  • Be part of the continuous development and improvement of existing standards.
  • Be working in an international team of world-class researchers with different backgrounds and experiences, including some of the key authorities and technology leaders in mobile communication.
  • Cooperate with internal and external partners.
