Accessibility Testing Lead focuses on ensuring that digital products, services, and processes are accessible to people with disabilities. They work closely with various stakeholders, including developers, designers, product managers, and legal teams, to analyze and ensure compliance with accessibility standards and regulations, such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

  • Work with stakeholders to gather and document accessibility requirements.
  • Analyze current digital products and services to identify accessibility issues.
  • Conduct accessibility audits and testing using tools and manual techniques.
  • Identify barriers that prevent users with disabilities from accessing digital content.
  • Ensure that digital products meet WCAG, ADA, and other relevant accessibility standards (both US and Canada)
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving accessibility laws and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to implement accessibility improvements.
  • Educate teams and stakeholders about the importance of accessibility.
  • Advocate for accessibility best practices across the organization.
  • Document accessibility findings, recommendations, and the progress of remediation efforts.
  • Facilitate or perform usability testing with users with disabilities to validate accessibility.
  • Continuously monitor and improve accessibility practices within the organization.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
  • Develop and implement accessibility test plans and strategies
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss testing strategies and results

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven work experience in accessibility testing
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 standards and guidelines
