A SUMMARY OF THE KEY CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  • Graduate calibre with high academic achievement and relevant professional qualification
  • Previous experience within practice and/or a manufacturing environment or related sector beneficial, either in current or in a previous role
  • Strong proactive communicator with the ability to engage and influence at all levels
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively
  • Strong team player with flexible attitude to work priorities
  • Brings enthusiasm and passion for business, underpinned by first class technical & analytical abilities
  • Excellent knowledge and practice of P&L and balance sheet
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modelling, process building, and project management skills
  • Ability to influence and work effectively in cross functional teams
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)

3. JOB DESCRIPTION

The main function of the role is to support the Dundee factory through excellence in Technical Accounting, Business Partnering, Reporting, Financial Best Practice, Business Change and Communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving corporate financial policy, supporting business controls and delivering insightful management information
  • UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS compliance
  • Leading and supporting on Sox, Audits, Statutory Filings, Trade Compliance and Financial Projects
  • Ensuring the delivery of monthly results and supporting information in line with the corporate timetable
  • Support the review of account reconciliations
  • Support in driving down Accounts Receivable balances, including liasing with shared service centre
  • Responsibility for the implementation of financial policy, the enforcement of internal controls and compliance
  • Liaising with the EMEA team on Financial Accounting, Cash Management, Compliance, Tax
  • Monthly VAT, intrastat, EC sales, both UK and Europe
  • Analyse accounting systems used by business to review for opportunities to improve, standardise controls and mitigate risk.
  • Support Know Your Customer activities
