Mō te tūranga | About the role
Westpac’s Agribusiness team are backing farming and farmers with delivery of customer service excellence and innovation. The Agribusiness team offer financial expertise with industry insight and sustainable relationships, to help customers navigate the future.
The Agribusiness Analyst is responsible for providing the best credit structure and financial solutions for our agribusiness customers. Core responsibilities include credit analysis, building customer and industry insight and helping to secure growth in the portfolio. You will utilise your financial analysis, research and report writing skills to prepare credit submissions whilst supporting your Agribusiness relationship managers with portfolio activity.
You will build a thorough knowledge of Westpac’s products and services as well as industry expertise. Experience in this role provides a solid grounding for future career success whether your interests lie in relationship management, analysis in corporate/institutional or other specialist areas in banking.

  • An understanding of business/commercial and farm management practices
  • Tertiary qualification in Agribusiness or similar is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in financial analysis, accounting or business administration
  • Ability to recognise areas of opportunity, to adapt and innovate and to drive productivity
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Customer centric, a team-player who exhibits drive, resilience and high levels of personal integrity and professionalism.
