JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • 80% field-based research – supporting and assisting in both small plot and field scale research project implementation, management and data collection.
  • 15% sales experience – support the sales team and participate in sales calls to growers, agronomists, and retails.
  • 5% professional development – opportunities to attend learning events such as Ag In Motion, Crop Diagnostic School, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently pursuing an Agriculture related Bachelor’s degree or Agriculture diploma from an accredited program (Agri-Business or Agronomy major preferred)
  • Completed 2nd year of study or greater as of start date
  • Must be able to work independently from a home office
  • Skilled in computer use (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Superior work ethic and highly motivated
  • Able to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
  • Written and oral communication skills, with ability to influence decision-making
  • Agriculture/agronomy background is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in initiation, application, and management of field demonstration and product development plots where product data is collected, analyzed, and summarized.
  • Lead, implement, and manage 1 field scale trial protocol of a UPL focus product with minimum 3 field site locations in Saskatchewan.
  • Build interpersonal and communication skills while working closely with Technical Support Specialist, Sales team, consultants, retails, and cutomers
  • Maintain and observe safe working and driving conditions
